The Good Crystal
Founded in 1783 by brothers William and George Penrose, Waterford is best known for its world-renowned crystal. Applying to their writing instruments the same craftsmanship and meticulous detail employed in the production of their crystal glassware, Waterford presents its Kilbarry Collection, named after the Irish parish in which Waterford is located.
Design Features
A variation on the standard Kilbarry, the Edge features an aluminum body with a slightly textured, engraved checkerboard pattern. The fountain pen comes with a bi-color, gold-plated steel nib, which is made in Germany and accepts a standard cartridge or converter. The rollerball, meanwhile, accepts standard rollerball refills. Fitted with chrome-plated trim and a sturdy clip on the threaded cap, both pens feature the iconic Waterford star engraved on the finial. For customization purposes, the pens come with a metal plate that can be engraved and adhered to the black lacquer box.
