Why is the MSRP $60, when the site of the manufacturer allows you to buy the complete set for $45, rather than buy all the packs separately? :/ http://asmadigames.com/detail_playtest.php

yami759MSRP shenanigans. It's how unscrupulous companies create apparent additional value where none exists. It's also pretty shameful behavior, if you ask me.
Ideally, an MSRP should match the street price when the product releases. It's natural for the street price of a product to drop after it is out for a while, but in no case should the manufacturer itself sell a product for less without also dropping the MSRP, so people don't feel deceived (as you apparently did after seeing the real price on the manufacturer's website).
gibbousmoonYeah, we have no control over MSRP since it comes from the manufacturer and have decided to report it as-is across the site for the sake of consistency, no matter how little sense it actually makes.

cameronbachmanRight, deceptive MSRPs are of course not MD's fault at all.
If MD wanted to do an upgrade to its website, I would never recommend replacing the MSRP with the street price but rather listing both. But of course the best solution in any case is for consumers to be as educated as possible about the realities of MSRPs.
