If you're in Canada, this exact set is available from Federated tool for $129 CAD and free shipping over $149. I love my Wera tools, but this makes no sense.

If anyone wants to know what a real bicycle toolkit looks like, see here: https://www.parktool.com/product/professional-travel-and-event-kit-ek-3?category=Tool%20Kits

Apart from the price issues, I am wondering what exactly makes this a bicycle specific tool set. These all appear to be general tools readily available in any hardware or even Aldi stores and not bicycle specific. There is nothing here to deal with chains, peddles, cassettes, bearings, spokes etc. No torque wrench which is an absolute must have for mounting any components on alloy or more especially carbon frames.

This must be some sort of a prank. I personally own a Wera 056490 Tool-Check Plus which is basically the same tool with different sockets that I paid about $60. Great, compact tool to own. Not a huge bicycle person myself but this price point is a bit drastic.

Drop, a comment/follow up to all the disdain herre would be nice, why the silence? I would like to hear what you have to say in justifying the $120 USD price?! Or is this a new trend and what I should expect from Drop moving forward?

zFlamemaxIts only 70 on amazon right now. Funny trend I've noticed with massdrop, how group buys end up costlier than other online retailers.

zFlamemaxDon't know about the price, but it really isn't a good tool kit for bicycles. It only needs one of the philips head screwdriver bits, and 1 slot screwdriver bit. It also doesn't need sockets or adaptor, and the multi angle allen keys. That leaves you with half of that kit in an oversized format. Just really bad - I don't think it was ever designed for a bicycle - just a silly kit that they're trying to get rid of to those who don't know.

What a complete joke Drop has become. Don’t get me wrong, Wera makes amazing tools. Whether or not this set ticks all your boxes is irrelevant once you consider how stupidly priced this is. Where’s the discount? What incentive is there to buy off this moronic site as opposed to getting it from somewhere else? As someone else mentioned, the people over at Drop must be smoking some of that real good ish

After all the back and forth about the better deals I went with the Tool Check Plus since it has a 12mm socket and tamper proof torx bits over the ball allen set. Since I wanted this for a motorcycle kit it should work just as nicely and was $40 cheaper. I should have it today after ordering yesterday with free Prime 🤷‍♂️ Not sure what the deal is here with drop 👎 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00I8MYMT2/ref=psdcmw_2445469011_t1_B01CILZXRI

Paul321I have an old Chapman kit like that, but without the screwdriver and spinner and with more bits. That thing has saved my butt more times - on everything from my bike to fixing a customer's treadmill to putting my guitar back together. I didn't know they made a bike kit, but I'm sure interested in the spinner thing.

I bet when the company changed from Massdrop to Drop someone just bought all the overstock they had and has just been selling that as they can. Massdrop was actually legitimate, they had new products introduced daily... And now... well that much is obvious. Maybe they have just focused more on their other communities and left us behind due to profit margins. Either way, the transition from Massdrop to Drop left the outdoor community with nothing but scraps to dig through.

NatureNateIt's sad they're basically just recycling older drops every 2 months. The value is really lacking as well.
