I own Westone W40. I've been thinking of sending them off to get custom fitted shells. I'm wondering who can hear a difference in a universal from the same company but at $500 price point vs $1000? I dont think my ears are that good. And, do I really like the kind of music that would demonstrate the difference in sound quality? Just my thoughts, not a knock against westone or those who love iems with 12 drivers.

Where do send you IEM for cusotm fitted shells? I have a W40 as well that I accidentaly sit on and broke the shell on mine last year, contacted westone and told me I'm SOL since they don't repair the older W series outside warranty(i had mine since 2014). They gave me a discount code instead so I can buy a new one. I ended up buying a B50 at a huge discount on ADORAMA.

This is the place I was considering, they are over seas. https://www.null-audio.com/products/earphone-reshell-service-by-aaw I can't vouch for them and I'm not even sure they work on Westones. So do your research.

Not loading for me either, but you can try reaching out to them via their FB page - https://www.facebook.com/itsfitlab/ Kien is usually pretty responsive to emails, but keep in mind that Vietnam is dealing with COVID lockdowns.
