Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Which direction you go, whether it be with a focus on portable or home use, depends on you and your lifestyle. Personally, I like having a dedicated home setup where I can sit down and focus on the music. No distractions, no outside world. I just pour a bottle of beer and disappear.
I don't have any sort of mobile setup, so I can't really say which one I think is better. I just know I am super happy with the direction I went first.
