Why would you want to cool down your whisky? Surely you would taste less.
Is this an American thing? I have not met one single Scotsman who would put ice anywhere near their whisky.

StabilizedI can confirm that Americans do cool down their whiksy. Souce: I am an American and I see it done all the time. We are big fans of cold drinks here, no matter what drink there is always a cold version of it.
