I would definately go with brannock true size and not half a size down. Im a 7.5 brannock but I normally wear size 8 in all boots. I picked 7.5 brannock size and it fits like a snug size 7.5D. So far so good its breaking in slowly on first day of wear. I did have a loose thread if I would knick pick. Ima keep yah updated. I will be purchasing white boots directly from next time. **Update: Ive been breaking in these shoes and its starting to break in nicely like a 7.75D so almost 8D. My lower shin area is getting a beating from shoe because how thick and stiff the leather is. Comfort feels solid but my big toe is getting the beating for the break in.
