Charting its origins back to before the Civil War, White’s Boots has become one of the leading providers of boots to American loggers, firefighters, and anyone else who needs tough footwear. Rather than a result of good marketing, their reputation is built on their employment of the highest quality materials and manufacturing processes, resulting in boots that can last a lifetime. Their #2332, the Semi-Dress, is no different.
Every part of the boot is picked specifically for maximum function, beginning with the thick water buffalo leather that provides maximum ankle support. At the toe, extra firm leather forms an even more secure and stretch resistant structure. To create a water tight seal, the upper is then hand-sewn to the insole with 9-strand Irish linen, giving you more flexibility by avoiding additional nails.
In the base of the boot, the iron solid leather shank avoids the breakage and rust found in steel shanks and the all leather heel base improves durability and resists water. Thanks to the patented Arch Ease technology, which elevates your arch to a more natural position, you can stay in your boots all day without getting your dogs barking. Out of the box, the boots will fit snugly and you should have 5/8 to 3/4 in of space between your toes and the end of the boot. Over time, the length will shorten and the width will increase. While all widths are offered, most people need a D, E, or EE. Additionally, most people require a half size down from their normal shoe size.
The standard boot that you see in the pictures features Brown Water Buffalo Leather, a double sole rubber outer sole, double row stitching, and a block heel. To customize your own pair, you can change from double row stitching to single row stitching. You can also switch out the Brown Water Buffalo Leather for Black Water Buffalo Leather, Distressed Leather, Red Dog Leather, Brown Chromexcel Leather, or Black Chromexcel Leather. Finally, you can switch out the standard sole for a Leather Sole or Composition Rubber Sole.
