I got the double at drop's warehouse sale for 130ish, if i remember correctly. Works well, but poor craftsmanship inside, where the textile was cut much larger than the cutout

Black version is currently cheaper on Amazon at $135. Don’t see a deal here unless you want a specific color.

I think a winder is like leaving your car running in the driveway so you don’t have to turn the key or press the button in the morning unless it’s a frequently worn annual calendar or something like that or is it like gifting yourself a watch and then you’re watch a winder

I picked up a Wolf Heritage Winder a couple months ago and it’s okay. I would have gotten this one because it is smaller and uses AA vs D cells but it was $89 so no big deal. I have been collecting watches for 20 plus years and never owned a winder so I wanted to see if it was all that convenient. I use it for my Bremont MBII because the crowns are a bit hard to grip so setting the watch was a pain and then my SKX007 because you can’t manually wind it. All my other watches are a dream to wind and set. I guess it’s nice to own but I am a believer of accelerated wear and tear if you run something mechanical 24/7 so it’s really for the watches that are a pain to wind and set.

noob question... what is the advantage of this vs the WAY more affordable options? I have a two watch jqueen that cost almost half this and yes I did have to replace the motor (which they sent me free and took 5 minutes to change) but it’s also a very nice looking case while this doesnt even attempt attractive with feaux leather. Not being bitchy just quite curious if it’s a “yeti cup” kinda thing or if theres some reason my more expensive watches need this vs other. Thanks all

The Yeti Cup is a good analogy I guess. But there are probably advantages you can’t really see or feel, could it be a better motor, quieter, smoother...etc. Then perhaps it’s craftmanship, customer service, name brand? It’s kind of like cars, what is the difference between a Mercedes E Clsss versus a Toyota Camry (the Camry is probably even more reliable longterm lol). Both are midsize sedans that get you to your destination but if you had both then you know the Mercedes is a much more satisfying and smoother ride.

I got 2 of them 2 months ago when Wolf had a 50% sale (got them for $89)
Nice basic winder, but I would wait for Wolf sale.
