Don't buy this on Drop. Banggood sells the same Keyboard but a little cheaper and will most probably ship faster too.

Is Drop just turning into a reseller of Chinese stuff with long delays for some reason?

Seems so. I was able to order this for $55 from BangGood and have it shipped within 24 hours.

At this point I'd scoop this just for the case alone. The 60% case game is very vanilla at the moment.

How do you know? Other than the fact that all these types of keyboard’s stabs are garbage?

This is also on kprepublic https://kprepublic.com/products/womier-66-key-full-rgb-custom-mechanical-keyboard-kit?_pos=1&_sid=39165c2a2&_ss=r for $66 with gateron switches. There is no mention on programmability on Their site. If someone is looking for another board very similar, but with a slightly Cleaner aesthetic (and does NOT need programmability) kprepublic also recently posted a RGB hotswapable yc66 https://kprepublic.com/products/hot-swappable-yc66-custom-mechanical-keyboard-rgb-smd-switch-type-c-acrylic-case?variant=31790622998621
  • Type-C USB cable
  • Hot-pluggable connector
  • Not a programmable PCB edition.
  • PCB support plate mount stabilizer only.
I don't know much about either board, but I check kprepublic pretty regularly just to see whats new (they post new things every couple of days). Most things I'm not interested in, but some are cool. I will message Kprepublic if the womier 66 is programmable (they usually respond in 24-48 hours) and I'll update this comment when I hear back. :) Edit: apparently I asked them back in October when they 1st posted it on their site. Lol. The womier 66 is *NOT* programmable.

Honestly, this looks terrible. First, the price; consider that it's January and it's going to ship in April supposedly, and you can buy it NOW on AliExpress, for less, and it'll still arrive before drop ships them. Second, those keycaps are really bad looking in my opinion. I don't really remember a single keyboard manufacturer that has ever had the shine-through legends on the bottom of the face of the keycap, it just looks odd and wrong. Especially the symbol keys. Probably the entire number row. I mean, look at the quotation marks, that's just hilarious. Third - looks like this doesn't have any software, so I'm not completely certain about ability to remap keys, and there's definitely not any lighting control other than the built-in modes. Lastly, if you're looking for a cheap, decent looking keyboard - while it may not be a fully acrylic case with underglow, I'd just go with the Geek GK61/64. The software might be pretty bad, but the keycaps are better, it features Kailh hot-swap sockets and it's around the same price as this one. Also - I think Royal Kludge also has decent options for this price range which look great.

Massdrop always has long delivery times, but one thing to consider is that soon China will be on holiday (the spring festival is right around the corner) so shipping is delayed)

Don't forget Drop mostly favours US citizens in regard to price/shipping. You also have to consider the details offered on Aliexpress or other sites (For instance, see switch option, or similar. Drop usually offers options that are not available on other sites). The rest is pretty much personal preference - I think the point of this Drop is the acrylic aesthetic in combination with the price point. The Geek GK61/64 looks entirely different - whether one likes that or not is beside the point I would say. Nevertheless, thanks for the references.
