What does this do that binder clips do not, aside from
- not being inexpensive - not being indestructible - not folding up to reduce space - not coming in multiple sizes - not coming in multiple colors

autoteleologyBinder clips have sharp metal edges that will catch on fabric, Wonder clips have rounded plastic edges that will not. Binder clips are made of metal instead of plastic, if you're running this through your sewing machine and forget to remove a wonder clip, it'll shatter the clip instead of damaging your needle (and potentially your machine). The elasticity of binder clips is calibrated to be significantly stronger than Wonder clips, which is specifically designed for holding fabric and batting together. Binder clips are not graduated like wonder clips are, so you can't easily distribute them evenly and clip the exact amounts of fabric consistently.
