I could be wrong but I think the one that everyone is screeching about is the basic model. I bought mine for 64.99 on eBay but it has no case and only a basic gaurd (two angle slots I think ) and only three belts I think. This looks to be a slightly upgraded package. I rarely use it for knives since as others have pointed out, it removes material FAST. Although I was able to grind a point back onto my girlfriend's Leek after she snapped it off at work. It works great for farm tools though.

I have to agree with Crosshairs below, Home Depot is advertising the same outfit for $69.99, delivered; and that includes free delivery.
Massdrop, it would behoove you to cross check inputs to ensure things like this do not happen. It really sullies your reputation. Believe me, though I have only bought a few items from your site, rest assured I've checked prices elsewhere to be sure I am getting a good deal.

I have one of these and can't recommend it for knives. It removes too much material too fast and has a tendency to grind where you don't want it to and creates curved edges in both dimensions rather than straight. I stopped using mine, went back and learned how to use water stones properly, and get much better results, and the knives last a lot longer. But it is occasionally useful as a small belt grinder for crafting stuff.

If it was the Ken Onion edition that would be a good price. But for this one, Please.
It's $89.95 on the manufacturer's website. Wonder where Massdrop's $104.95 MSRP came from.
