All in all I got very decent value for my money. Just frustratingly lucky... here's what I mean: ---The Pens: 1- Safari Yellow extra-fine. Nice, but I have two EF Al-Stars already. 2-Noodler's Ahab Lapis Flex. I guess that's good, I'm in the market for a quality Flex, this will serve as a test-drive. 3-Pilot G-Tec-C Hyper-Fine. This is my first time writing with a hypodermic needle; pleasantly surprised. 4-Pilot Metro Animal Pencil 0.5mm. I just gave one away a week ago. 5-Brause Calligraphy. Again, I recently got the same set for my mother. The Ink: 6- Rohrer & Klingner Verdigris. I love R&K inks. However, you guessed it, I already have Verdigris. 7-De Atramentis Kermisin Red. This is my highlight. My first bottle of De Atramentis. ---The Paper: 8-Apica Premium CD A4. Exactly what I needed, just not blank, which is what I got. I guess it will bundle nicely with the Brause set. 9-Moleskine Volant 2-pack. My sister's favorite composition books. Begin to see a pattern here? 10-Rhodia A4 notepad, ruled. My wife loves them. She'd just asked me to get her a few, minutes before the MD box arrived. I am not making this up. 11- Rhodia Webbie A6 dot-grid. I'm keeping this one, although I have little need for A6. Love the paper, love the binding. ---The Rest: 12-Washable Paper pencil case... to complete the Brause/Apica bundle I guess. 13-First off, was this on purpose? 13? really? 13-Rossi Thank You Card set. These are the icing on the cake. I'll be handing these out along with the giveaways so that they can write me thank you notes for all the involuntary presents :p
Honestly though, this box was a lot of fun. I get to play accidental Santa for under $50. Who can say no to that? Can we have another one @Liz? Please? Heck, I'd join again even if I was at risk of getting one of those Taccia Quill pens.
