I don't understand why this is so much.. I get that you are saving money in the long run because you are not using compressed air but eventually someone (else) in China will make this exact product, possibly even better and it will cost them 5 or 6 bucks and it will end up on shelves for $20!! This company will not last more than a year.

Is this ESD safe? Edit: For this to be ESD safe the attachments and entire body need to be grounded, as well as the user. I don't see the attachments and cordless ESD protection doesn't protect, might as well use a rubber band on your wrist it'll work just as well.

Ok, I love my Hurricane. I'm not one of the haters here. But seriously, you can NOT call this thing a "compressor." It is a high speed blower, which produces almost no compression at all.

260 mph? How’d they manage to shove a high performance 260hp engine in it?

And if you look at the Metro website, for only $20 more you can get this https://www.metrovacworld.com/product/Air_Force_Blaster_Sidekick_Car_and_Motorcycle_Dryer/overview Which claims to put out significantly more air than the data vac, just missing some small nozzles which might not be necessary. Look at the specs for the data Vac, 70C FM and the Sidekick, 18,000 CFM Probably a mistake there somewhere, but I have their Blaster and it puts out a lot of air going very fast. Then again if all you want to do is take computers outside and blow off the dust, the least expensive electric leaf blower would probably do fine too.

Just throwing it out there for the unaware. The reason pro shops will use canned air instead of electrical blowers or vacuums (cordless or otherwise) is to avoid static charge buildups ruining delicate electronic equipment.

Valid. Also canned air is clean with no particles in it.

Why is there a charge limit? Also since there is a limit does the output power / total hours used decrease linearly or logarithmically or on some other scale? Finally 15 min * 750 charges = a weeks worth of air not a year as someone else commented.

And inquiring minds also want to know what kind of rechargeable battery this thing uses, and why it's not removable at this price point.

What makes this worth twice the cost of a DataVac (which is the greatest PC duster I've ever used)?

In something like a high powered air duster, I consider that a negative. I can see how it could be useful in certain applications though. I just don't see how it being cordless constitutes twice the price of a Datavac when the Datavac outputs CONSIDERABLY more air and doesn't need a charge after 15 minutes.

Hmm the Datavac looks pretty convincing, I'll have to go see if there is a 220v version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YasEeLz9Yhg

A can of air lasts me more than a year. I would have to live a few millennia to make this worthwhile.
