erickongI already own an X3 Hurricane(Single Speed). It works great for the application I purchased it for, blowing off my portable power saw and tables. A true variable speed trigger would allow application in many uses requiring the pulsing of the trigger, which is tiresome. I do wear hearing protection operating at full speed.
DO NOT BUY. Its awful. I reviewed it after I bought it but for some reason its magically not showing up. All it does is make noise and at best moves a couple lose crumbs. I have a hand held air rocket (photographers use for film) that does a better job. I'm actually thinking about throwing my X3 out since its a waste of space.
I don't understand why this is so much.. I get that you are saving money in the long run because you are not using compressed air but eventually someone (else) in China will make this exact product, possibly even better and it will cost them 5 or 6 bucks and it will end up on shelves for $20!! This company will not last more than a year.
Is this ESD safe?
Edit: For this to be ESD safe the attachments and entire body need to be grounded, as well as the user. I don't see the attachments and cordless ESD protection doesn't protect, might as well use a rubber band on your wrist it'll work just as well.
Ok, I love my Hurricane. I'm not one of the haters here. But seriously, you can NOT call this thing a "compressor." It is a high speed blower, which produces almost no compression at all.
