This Air compressor is "meh" at best. It claims variable speed, but it only has 2.. off and on.
Off is quiet... ON is painfully loud.
At "make your ears bleed" mode (also known as ON) it blows an OK amount of air but nothing special. If you live in the USA, there are MUCH better choices than this.
I do not live in the USA so this was my only choice for something that APPEARED to be good at a decent price.... but if I had known how ineffective and LOUD this thing is, I would have spent the money on a different air compressor.
To sum up everything:
-- It does OK at blowing air (not good or great by any means)
-- It only runs at full speed (all while still only managing to blow a mediocre amount of air)
-- It will damage your hearing (no joke... this thing literally HURTS my ears)
night7riderWish I could tell you for sure but I haven't tried buying a different one yet as I don't want to waste any more money.
If I were to try a different one, it would probably be this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BI4UQK0/?tag=glgsite01-20
I found some cheap canned air that I am currently using that ACTUALLY works (like canned air does) and is quiet... but as for an electric air blower that works and does not sound like a jet engine, I can only go from what I would have gotten if not this the first time.
dbcherI have the XPower one in your amazon link. It does the trick, but it does have a permanently attached cable. It is about as loud as a vaccuum, but I wouldn't say it is painfully loud. I have not tried the X3 Hurricane, but nothing I have tried is as good as the concentrated blast from a can of compressed air through that tiny red straw (as all the electric ones I have seen have larger plastic tubes, that make it feel more like a mini leaf blower and dont give you that really concentrated burst).
TetraEngineJust found out that its even cheaper on Opolar website, at USD51.30 after discount and free worldwide shipping. Seems like I'll get from there.
dbcherI also purchased it and gave it a few full charges as the paperwork that comes with it adds the disclaimer that it requires a few charges to reach the advertised strength.
Even with that, I've found it doesn't accomplish anything I need it to, which is generally cleaning up dust that managed to find its way in my keyboard, mouth and computer. Ultimately, It just makes noise and that feels like the most it accomplishes.
