Fake carbon easily scratches, day after purchase the whole fromt is alrwady full of scratches, rest however works as it should for now.
Carbon fiber is very scratch-able and this says it's carbon fiber. How is it fake? The photos sure look like real carbon.
Carbon fiber is a mohs hardness of 2. It’s made of strands of graphite it is by no means hard, and scratches very easily.
CF is five times stronger than steel. It’s chemically different from graphite. That’s like saying diamonds and graphite are both carbon so they’re both the same.
I don't know if this wallet is CF, but you should know that CF is stronger than steel for the same weight. And not harder.
Think about what you just said...something can be stronger (more tensile strength, etc)...but it’s not going to be harder?
Yes, those are different properties of materials. And hardness is not always a good thing, because sometimes you need something to bend and not crack.
