What's the difference between XD60 and XD64?
I would hazard a guess that the difference is the layout of the row with the shift keys on it. It appears that they allow for shortening the left shift so you can squeeze three key lengths out of the right shift, so you can have a shift key, up arrow, and a function key instead of a single long right shift, as well as allowing for two 2u keys to be on the lift shift. I appreciate the idea of jamming more keys onto R4, but I'm not sure about this implementation of that idea, as it will force people to spend more time hunting down keys for those things (I've only seen two 1u R4 GMK shift keys, and I have them both on my Preonic), so I'm not sure how much people will go for it.
GMK are the only enthusiast keycap makers who don't support it, SP have the appropriate molds for all their profiles and most Chinese companies have them to cater for the very enthusiastic Minila fanbase there. If anyone wants to just buy a set that'd do it right now instead of waiting for a group buy, there's at least two good options I can point towards, Originative still sell EnjoyPBT Valentine which will fully support every option this board has for just $90, and KBDfans have an $80 unknown manufacturer black on black dyesub PBT cherry profile keyset with just as much compatibility.
Oh, ok. I'm not sure if I'd like what looks to be a rather cramped layout so I'll have to think about this board some more. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it!
