What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

Just press the keys as the appear on here to toggle it - once you flash it though - its hard to get them working again, im struggling through that right now.
But to help you out, someone has translated the meaning of all the chinese functions here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/6pnpq7/xd64_layout_flashing_guide/
And to flash it you HAVE to use this website: http://yang.tkg.io/#
Even worse is sometimes it will load looking like a random page, not like the normal TKG.io
If that happens google for it instead or try and remove the "HTTP" at the start otherwise it doesn't load properly...
took me all of yesterday to figure that out, cause once i flashed mine using TKG.io - I lost all the Underglow functionality.
Find my post in the discussions and you will get a tutorial on it.
@justathad No idea why your getting such a weak underglow, did you remove the paper that was on the clear PVC? When you adjust the brightness are can you see it change at all? How did you flash it? or have you left it default?
did you manage to get the underglow to work before you flashed it? It looks functional in your original image,
Are you using the right drop down on Yang? GH60 RevXD Mod
I did get the underglow to work originally, but as soon as I flashed the keyboard...nothing.
I am using GH60 RevXD Mod and I paste my raw data using Simple in the layer mode.
Have you determined if your FN Layer is working at all? E.g. does your VolUp/Dn controls work? If not then your FN setup is broken.

Try my files, either of the JSON files - load them up in KLE and take note of where the buttons are and then go to YANG, set it as simple, paste my raw data then get my FN SETTINGS.txt and import those by going to TOOLS > IMPORT FN on YANG (Top right) then burn that and see if pressing FN + Q turns it on.
OR
you can just set the LED settings at the bottom based on the image i left in there, and what that does is turn Underglow RED when its NOT in CAPS, BLUE IN CAPS and GREEN with FN pressed.
I recommend trying the 2nd option its quicker and you can use your layout and it should determine whether or not theres an issue with your PCB or not.
I also tried your second option, but I didn't see a difference.
So with my second option using the image in my drive folder, you dont see the underlighting come on when you press caps lock or FN ?
if you imported my FN Settings via the text file it should replace that accordingly, it should turn into Default RGB Toggle
