xygoteYou can make a new keymap/layout using QMK. The QMK subfolder for this board is "idobo", and can be seen here: https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/idobo
You can probably change the underglow color as well using this, although I haven't looked into it.
No access to the physical reset button is an annoyance, but luckily you can program a software reset button via QMK. Just add the "RESET" key somewhere.
xygoteJust received mine and the problems you've listed are still present. #6 is ridiculously frustrating. If I had known that I needed to take it apart I wouldn't of paid for assembly.
Very disappointed, I would like a refund.
xygoteYou can flash the keyboard without access to physical reset button - even for the first time - before programming one of the keys as "reset" using QMK. The method is as follow:
unplug the keyboard
press and hold the key on top left corner (where ESC usually is)
plug your keyboard back (while still holding the key).
It should be ready for flashing. It worked for me with IDOBO keyboard, which is a clone of XD75, so I assume/hope it should be the same here.
Ytropekthanks a lot brother. This also worked for me in the Idobo board from Aliexpress in 2021 feb.
press esc and plug in the usb for reset.
then i compiled the default75 keymap and flashed without any issue
- No instructions
- No idea how to flash or change layout. (the default layout has 2 z's next to each other and no backspace)
- Appears to have RGB underglow but no idea how to change color or if you can. See point 1
- Key caps are WAY to tight and the double space cap does not fit
- Under board supports are lacking especially in the upper right hand corner
- No hole for the reset button (no idea how or why I need this, see point 1)
There are probably more problems but all in all I feel I have wasted $100. This most likely will be the last Massdrop I will ever get.
