Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). Who from the states has actually used this service? Can anyone give any clue as to their reputation? I would by from massdrop in a heartbeat at any price if they had a top plate I could use in my 60% case.
For background, AliExpress is part of Alibaba, China's biggest online market. AliExpress is geared to individual sales and has payment escrow policies. Buyers should really check the reputation of the specific seller before purchasing. Overall, it's about on par with Ebay, in my experience. I would never want to use it for something truly expensive. I've used it for perhaps a dozen purchases in the last year for small electronics and boards (typically under $100/transaction) and haven't been shafted by any sellers or phished. Of course, the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data', so YMMV.
