xDuoo DA-100 Bluetooth DAC/Amp

I’m not sure 3.5 mm to USB-C works because you need a power aside from just audio and the DA-100 takes digital signals through USB-C. The Chromecast Audio’s output is analog not digitaL you might want to try using your phone’s USB output to connect to the DA-100. But BT is more convenient.

One update: I can't get this to work with Chromecast Audio. The 3.5mm to usb-c adapter does not send any sound. This is probably a Chromecast Audio issue, because they stopped supporting it a long while back. Could anyone suggest a solution? Are there USB-C adapters out there that don't have a DAC built in? I think the Chromecast Audio DAC is unable to send audio to another DAC. (Having said all this, I should probably have posted this in Discussions).

Ok, so it isn't just me. Same experience as yours with the volume pot, and same thought about one more input (rca is so basic that I did not even bother to check if it had one when I ordered). No matter, I've hooked it up to a chromecast audio with a usb c, and bluetooth also works well. Using it in my study and ran speaker cables to a sub as well. Haven't tried headphones yet. A little concerned about running it at 80-90% all the time, but given the returns complications, might just keep it.
