Disappointed
Trying to use with HD6xx, sound is terrible, default adapter for pixel 2 works better than this one. Maybe 300om HD6xx is too much for the device, will try with some other headphones when I gave a chance.

HaxpesYou're driving your 6xx with a phone!? Honestly, invest in a portable DAC/AMP with some power for your phone, man. You won't regret it. Expecting a dongle/phone to power a 300 ohm headphone is kinda unfair, and I doubt your adapter is doing the 6xx justice either.

NEXONUSAny particular recommendations? I fly a lot and I'm trying to improve upon the sound coming out of my OnePlus 6T. There just seems to be a lot of DAC/AMP units out there and I'm no audiophile.

TweeterIf you want the dongle approach: Ikko Zerda ($100) If you don't mind carrying another phone-sized object around: iFi Hip Dac ($150) Of course, if you don't want to shell out $100+, you can gamble around with Chinese brand dongles (like this one). Pretty much anything would be an upgrade from your phone's dac/amp. Hidizs S3 ($50 + some time updating firmware) and iBasso dl02 ($60 on AliExpress) seem alright, but I can't promise you a significant difference in sound with these (not that it should be that noticeable to most people anyways). Most importantly though, the biggest upgrade you can get for yourself that has the most notable improvement would be a good pair of headphones/iem, so I suggest getting those first

TweeterI agree with Nexonus: " ... the biggest upgrade you can get for yourself that has the most notable improvement would be a good pair of headphones/iem ..." That said, if you're in the market for a dongle DAC/amp the Meizu Hifi Pro USB-C dongle is worth a look:

TweeterIf you're using your headphones to try to block out noise you should probably start looking into IEMs that have good isolation. I can't imagine a set of open backed 6XX are going to isolate any noise on a plane. IEMs will take less power to drive than full sized headphones. Tin HIFI T2 and Shuoer Tape, both with Comply Comfort foam tips, are both amazing with my Link.
