Awesome!
This is my first tube amp and even though it's a hybrid I think it definitely adds the touch to sound through it. I have been loving it and it has already prompted me to get a bigger one because I liked this one so much.

First Tube
Really enjoying my fist tube amp. Looking forward to swapping out the tubes to see what this little thing can do. Good power. I used with my Topping L30 dac for an uncolored input to really let the tubes shine. Not dissatisfied especially for the price.

Sweet buttery goodness
Fantastic little amp for the $. Great both HP or as speaker pre-amp. The stock tubes arent very good, but once your roll to something better its amazing what this little thing does. It's like pouring sugared melted butter on the music.

Why you have quarter inch to 3.5 mm adapter inserted in your amp, if that amp has dedicated 3.5 mm headphone output?

Pretty good for a 6J1 based amp
The build quality of this amp is impressive for the price but the included power supply is kind of average. The first thing I did was to get rid of the supplied tubes and replaced them with some Raytheon 6AK5 tubes that I already had. After 20 hours of burn in I started listening with a set of Beyer DT 770 250 ohm phones playing with a iPod touch it got plenty loud at 1 o'clock on the nob, using my Modi DAC, 12 o'clock was plenty loud. With 32 ohm headphones 10 o'clock was loud. So as far as power this amp seems to have plenty and the background is pretty quite. The sound is warm and smooth but not quite as detailed as I would like, but different tubes might make a difference there. This amp does offer some nice features like a 3.5mm input on the front and 2 headphone jacks- one 1/4 inch and a 3.5mm jack, the preamp out does sound good and would work well with powered speakers but one major knock is that the tubes sit far into the body of the amp so pulling them out and putting new ones in is challenging. Overall this would serve most pretty well as a desktop or bedside amp with a little tube sound but mostly solid state.

iPod to amp or other analog source to amp- no DAC needed. Computer into a DAC or a digital source-like a TV or CD player with optical outs into a DAC will usually provide the better audio quality.
