The particular tube used is a dual triode so can handle amplifying both signals simultaneously.
That said, I recommend getting another unit. I ordered one of these last time mass drop ran it and it worked for a total of 3 hours before frying itself. Maybe it's a problem with ATH-M50s. Definitely had loose components banging around inside that should not have been.
