The TA-03S uses a 12AU7 electric tube as a preamplifier and two 6C19 tubes to expand the current for a mellow timbre. Along with a powerful NIPPON CHEMI-CON capacitor, the DAC/amp is driven by a low-noise E-type transformer that’s specially designed to drive tube amplifiers.
What utter gibberish.
what is 'expand the current'? Does that mean there is more space between the electrons so they don't get crowded?
The 'E-Type Transformer designed to drive tube amplifiers' but this is not a tube amplifier, its a preamp no?
Most transformers are either toroid or E type. A toroid would probably have been better in such a small enclosure.
And I don't understand what the magic of this capacitor is. Nearly every electronic device on earth has at least one capacitor. Usually several. Nippon Chemi make decent caps, but unless I am mistaken this is just a power supply cap. Not in the audio path.(transformer+capacitor, you are a few diodes away from a power supply) This is just slapping consumers in the face with terminology that sounds specific and fancy. But is essentially word salad.
