I see MD is still describing this as "fully balanced," which seems suspect.

kukkurovacaWhat makes you think this? (curious because I might learn something new)

bjvp182Some of the comments below address this (like this one: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/xduoo-ta-10-balanced-headphone-dac-amp/talk/1809205).
The description states fully balanced from input to output, but this amp doesn't even have balanced inputs, and I don't think I've seen a single-tube amp advertised as fully balanced before. And xDuoo does sell a balanced version of this amp (although not a dac/amp):
http://www.xduoo.com/xduoo/En/ProductView.asp?ID=21
So, it seems like xDuoo was confused (or deceptive) in calling the TA-10 fully balanced, and MD hasn't bothered to clarify it despite several folks commenting on it.

kukkurovacaThis does has usb input which u can connect to ur computer and then xlr connection to ur headphone and u have full balanced in and out, and remember this is amp/dac combo usually only amps have xlr inputs and outputs if u have dac combo then usb , or coaxial input will suffice for balanced input

kukkurovacaThe balance out is just for convenience.

bjvp182It would be convenience for those having headphone with balance connector otherwise an adaptor is required.

piperFor simple convienence sake, it can be said about every connector (with higher convenienve being that it has a 1/4 inch out as well like i've seen on others). For function I believe it is superior if you are a balanced seeker since a simple xlr to 1/4in is easy enough to aquire/build for your other cans that can't go xlr without some modding ;)

qmk10That's possible. There's no indication that the amp has a balanced dac section, though. There's also no actual indication in the specs that the amp section is balanced either, and the single tube plus the existence of the TA-20 suggest that the TA-10 is not fully balanced.
It's not impossible, but I feel like Massdrop should confirm the actual specs of the amp. It looks much more like the the CTH: a single ended amp with an added XLR connector for convenience. And if that's what it is, that's totally fine, but don't call it "fully balanced."

piperThat's my guess as well, I just wish that the product description would either state that (instead of "fully balanced") or else provide details of the balanced design if it is actually fully balanced.

kukkurovacaI have the link below from the manufacturer website and I guess it is hard to tell since the page is in English but it is more like a case of "lost in translation" case where some of the stuff they meant to say is either lost or they are just avoiding them so no body can figure out what there product is, so I guess we will have to find out as I have committed to this product if we have enough buyers and then I can compare it with my schiit jotunheim once I get it
