mwest614Oh yeah. This has plenty of power for it. How the stock tubes pair is another question though. If you are fine buying pairs of tubes to switch out, go for it.

mwest614Donno about the LCD-2, but this amp is pretty boss with my Fostex T50RP Mk3, Fostex T60RP, and MassDrop x Hifiman HE-4xx. It handily drives them to hearing loss levels of loud while dishing out some seriously delicious sonic pressure. You will want to roll the tubes. The Chinese 12au7 that comes with it are generally trash.

mwest614I had good luck with these RCA 12AU7A I picked up from a vendor on eBay. But really any RCA, GE, Sylvania, or Toshiba matched 12AU7 pair will do much better than the stock tubes. I also put headphone and IEM compatibility notes for all the gear I've got in my review, if you're interested in that too. :)

FayneCool beans. I stock those where I work (samash) so that should be cheap! Thanks man I appreciate all the time you took out of your day to help me with this .

mwest614Mullard tubes tend to be a universal all around tube especially with decent bass emphasis without being muddy.

FayneLCD cans tend to need 1 watt, I think Audeze recommendation is 1.5 watts and more.

Brosefstalin42I guess it is good that the ta-20 can push 2 watts. ;)
