Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Only 50 Ω more but most IEMs are way under 100 Ω. The bundled IEM with the M3 is 27 Ω and they sound pretty good for being bundled. Most IEM bundled with players and phones don't sound very good as they are the bottom of the barrel cheap IEM crap. I'm quite surprised Fiio bundled some pretty decent open ear buds with the M3. I'm happy to sacrifice 50 Ω for 24-hour playback. Not everyone is going to be traveling with a DT990 600 Ω or an HD800 300 Ω headphone as they aren't exactly portable.
In no specific order, this is just a small sample size of IEM Ω measurements:

These are IEMs, but even then plenty of headphones are under 100 Ω and not difficult to drive. There wasn't any IEM I saw that was over 64 Ω. The only time you'd need an amp is if you're bringing high-end high impedance headphones with you and at that point, you'd want a much better player than the XDuoo X2 and Fiio M3 so you can take full advantage of them.
