A follow-up to XDuoo’s popular X2, the X3 features the well-regarded Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC chip and two MicroSD slots with 128 gigs of storage apiece—a real rarity for a budget-friendly player. (That’s enough space for more than 5,000 lossless files... or 50,000 MP3 files!) It supports all common lossless formats up to 24 bit/192 kHz, plus DSD, and boasts a playback time of about 8 hours between charges. And good news for modders: Because the X3 supports Rockbox, the open-source replacement firmware, you can add various functions and enhancements to make the listening experience all your own.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of colors between Black, Gold, and Silver.
Machined from a single block of aluminum alloy, the XDuoo X3 is solid, compact, and durable enough to stand up to everyday use. The surface has a radial finish that disperses lines of light around the center point, an effect reminiscent of a CD under the sun, along with a non-slip pattern for a secure grip. The high-definition, high-contrast OLED screen can be read easily even in bright conditions, and the interface is designed to be intuitive, even for first-time DAP owners. Plug your headphones into the 3.5-millimeter jack, connect a hi-fi amplifier via the line-out jack, and use the Micro-USB jack to charge your X3 or transfer files from your computer.
