EffinRedAwesome looking setup!
I'm looking at buying the Xduoo X3II or the Cayin N3 and I'm hoping you could answer a couple of questions regarding the X3II as there isn't much info on it rn. - Does it support AptX in both transmit and receive mode? The Cayin only supports AptX in transmit mode not in receive mode. - Does the X3II support replay gain? It's nice not having large jumps in volume when you have music on shuffle. - Does the X3II have rudimentary search functionality when browsing music by tag - I'd really like to be able to jump to the first letter of an album or artist.
Thanks so much for your help!

EffinRedI've got the same setup, I suggest you get the xc-07 usb-c OTG cable, and ditch the straps, try xduoo's nano sticker

also, there's a custom firmware on head-fi, that fixes the 15k tracklist issue, expands it to 30k https://www.head-fi.org/threads/new-xduoo-x-serie-dap-x20-x10-x3-xduoo-are-on-fire.867522/page-16#post-14367866 is the link

Dino_391not sure on the aptx or replay gain,
but on the tag/artist, if you're using the Hiby link, on your phone, .it gives you an alpha scroll bar on the margin, that you can select from.
still fine tuning the playlists, couple of emails with xduoo has given a few pointers (the format is slightly different than the playlists for the X3 (original) (using rockbox)

CaddmanThanks for the info. I have another couple of questions if you don't mind answering:
- What's the playlist size limit with/without the custom firmware? It's 1,000 songs on the Cayin. - Is there a delay in sound when using the Xduoo as a USB DAC with a computer? The Cayin has been reported to be delay free.
If the Xduoo satisfies these two better or as good as the Cayin I'll get it.

CaddmanAlso, I saw on the Xduoo thread that there are plans to rockbox the Xduoo ii by the end of the summer. I've not used rockbox before but I assume that's another reason to get the Xduoo?

Dino_391the original playlist size limit is 15,000 (custom is 30,000) I have a 256gb card, with 22,500 files, so needed the custom for it so see all the music,
it takes about 4-5 minutes to do a database update when i add / move files, but that's only if you add new music, modifying playlists etc does not require a database update.
after it updates, its near instant searching by artist, genre etc from the tags in the music files.

Dino_391I rockboxed the x3 (orig) i have, I didn't like the playlists and some other things on the native operating system.
on the x3ii .. so far its working fine, and have not hit any issues that would require rockboxing it, i'd be concerned if rockbox supported the Hiby link etc.
If it does, and adds some features, then might be worth looking at.
