So this is the original, but instead of the Bluetooth being an adapter that goes on the end and inserts to the digital port, it’s now integrated. that’s kind of annoying that they didn’t just do that originally for the Xd05 and the xd05 plus.

RyanPinalso, its usb-c now, and a switch to disconnect internal battery when on external power (should last longer that way)

RyanPinIts also a different amp circuit apparently. The original was 500mw using just op-amps. Then the plus version is a full watt using just op-amps. This basic version is back down to 500mw but it says is using a hybrid class-a and op amp circuit. Also the dac chip is different, the other two versions I believe use the ak 4493eq, and this one is using the more commonly found ak 4490 (usually found in full size standalone dacs). On top of built in blue tooth, and a switch on the back to bypass the battery when plugged into power and I guess run it like a desktop dac/amp.

Saxelrod92I can’t fault them for making a simpler, better improved and cheaper model. Just after purchasing both the xd05 and plus. I would have preferred to have seen these upgrades more so on the Plus. I can appreciate it, but can’t justify to purchase it again.

RyanPinThey have an upgraded 05 plus coming in. XD05+ or something. Check their insta page. If you do want to buy keep that in mind as well. It's a complete redesign. I think it'll also have balanced 4.4 on top of these new features. Not sure about bluetooth though.
