Headfonics review of the XD05 Plus https://headfonics.com/xduoo-xd05-plus-review/
This thing sounds surprisingly good, so tempted to get one in for daily use, it was such a good surprise when I got to listen to it. Sadly already spent to much on review units, but I will get one in at some point for a full review. Hands down my fav budget portable combo unit.

what are those dots on the Bluetooth module?

The dots are the built in microphone (the cross shaped pattern) the one to the right is the Bluetooth codec indicator (different colors for different codec as well as power) and the one farthest left is the manual reset (I use an earring which it gets stuck trying to connect to a poorly made Bluetooth adapter, which I don’t really use any more)

I am so glad they added the reset switch. The old version did not have a reset and there has been so many times that the unit would get stuck due to switching between bluetooth devices. When that happened, the only way to get the adapter to work was to just literally wait until it ran out of battery.

That's actually not a bad idea considering the issues customer support is having.

I had imense trouble getting my amp unit to charge and it turns out that it will literally only charge from the included USBC cable. I've tried every combination of computer port, power adapter, charging hub, and battery bank; it just won't charge even with cables that work fine for data transfer, even with power delivery and thunderbolt 3 cables, even with OTG cables. I don't know what hellish blocker Xduoo put in their cable but it's incredibly frustrating that I am stuck having use their ugly, kinked, rubber, 2ft long USB A-to-C charging cable. The whole point of using USBC is that it is universal, don't make it such an impossible cluster to find a cable that works (the same goes for their rip-off $20, non-MiFi certified, USBC-to-Lightning cable only available from their site).

Depending on the power adapter, it might not be sufficient to charge the device. My phone adapter does not charge the unit nor the bluetooth adapter. However changing the output power of the adapter helps. If you're using USB-C to C, it tends to not work either. Try using any A to C cable. That usually works for me.

Anybody using these with the nuemann ndh-20?

Yes, I have this exact pair. I was debating on getting the fiio q5s, but that amp/dac seems to be geared more for the balanced cans, as its 3.5mm only outputs 210 mw. So i went looking for a similar portable amp with good output single-ended nonbalanced for the ndh20. This was the one I arrived at. It offers a full watt of power at 32 ohms, plenty enough power to drive our neumanns well on the go.

That is exactly what I paired them with. I also tried different OpAmps and the best combo for me was the XDuuo w/ Muses 03 and the NDH-20s. The Burson V5is are a better option if you pair them with open back headphones, as they bring a lot of bass to the Xduuo.

Does anyone know if this could power and drive the DT 880 600ohm efficiently? Thanks.

Not properly, I found an amp with similar level to a basx great. If you do a balanced mod the 789 is good too. I'd go with a 250 or 80 ohm on this one.

I agree. I had the Xduoo with the 600ohm Beyers and something was just off when you drove up the volume. Lot's of distortion. Not to noticeable on acoustic pieces, but complex music was distortion city. With the 250 ohm it was pretty good. I returned the Xduoo for the Aurender Flow, and the Aurender flow is just perfect for the Drop price!
wait for Xduoo XD-05 PRO

Any links for that? Did a search online but cannot find it.
Nope, Insider's info. PRO will have Balanced Output.
