It is mentioned nowhere - certainly not in the limited instructions - that this unit does not have a built-in volume control, like virtually every other Bluetooth receiver ever made. Connected it directly to my amplifier, paired it with my phone, adjusted the phone volume, hit play, and blew a tweeter in one of my speakers. Can’t comment on the overall sound quality, but this is a fatal flaw. It will cost me way more to replace the tweeter in a good pair of speakers than I paid for this piece of s***.
Would not recommend to a friend.
Sorry to hear your plight mate; but as every audio enthusiast knows “turn the bloody volume control off” before you make any connection. However there should have been a limiter or control on the unit as you stated. Regards
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. Phone volume was adjusted to “off,” as every audio enthusiast knows. It didn’t matter. When I turned it up to “1” it went to full volume and blew my tweeter. The purpose of my post was to alert people of the danger. Cheers!
My apologies if I misunderstood:) all good! Enjoy your music👍🏼
