Sounds great, nice display, and great to have a pause button.
Only complaint - Out of the box you can't use your phone's volume control. This is fixed by updating the firmware to XQ-50 Pro_V0.1.9. https://www.xduoo.net/forums/topic/xq-50-pro/ I also have a BluDento BLT-HD, and the BluDento didn't require a firmware update to use your phone's volume control. The XQ-50 pro is better than the BluDento in a couple of ways - it has a cool display and a pause button. They both sound great using the digital outputs.

Sounds great, lacks some features
So far I've had no issues with connectivity. Regularly switching between my phone and computer works just fine after a couple weeks of use. The sound quality is a big step up from what I was using before, and the range covers my one-bedroom apartment. Like other reviews mention, there is no built-in volume control. The thing runs hot, so start with your receiver volume at zero (this should be a rule of thumb when connecting any new piece of gear in my experience). Considering the quality of the internals, I'm very happy with my purchase. Are there features that would make this thing better? Absolutely. Password and volume control should have been included. But I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Like it very much.

This little box sounds great. Easily connects and is straightforward. Don't know why people complained that it needed a volume control. In my case, the receiver controls the sound. I guess if connected to an active speaker, it may present a problem. not sure, don't own one. One thing I noticed is that while connected to receiver and playing, the sound will reduce momentarily went receiving notification through another device.

Fatally Flawed
It is mentioned nowhere - certainly not in the limited instructions - that this unit does not have a built-in volume control, like virtually every other Bluetooth receiver ever made. Connected it directly to my amplifier, paired it with my phone, adjusted the phone volume, hit play, and blew a tweeter in one of my speakers. Can’t comment on the overall sound quality, but this is a fatal flaw. It will cost me way more to replace the tweeter in a good pair of speakers than I paid for this piece of s***.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. Phone volume was adjusted to “off,” as every audio enthusiast knows. It didn’t matter. When I turned it up to “1” it went to full volume and blew my tweeter. The purpose of my post was to alert people of the danger. Cheers!

This thing sucks ass. Never connects.
Waited 5 months for this expensive piece of shit. Connects one or two times on a device then just refuses to ever connect again. Have fun power cycling it. And oh yeah, nothing to stop your neighbor from connecting and preventing you from ever connecting it! No password, great! Fucking piece of shit

The screen feature is fucking pointless when you have to unpaid, power cycle, and repair your device every goddamn time you want to use it. And Xduoo doesn't provide any ability to update firmware. I'm pushing to get mine replaced because it'd an expensive paperweight.

Drop never shipped it and it took a month to get my money back.
I could have ordered this directly and had it long ago. Waited for the drop. Drop sent me an email they shipped it. They never shipped it - They sent notification to FedEx they were going to, but never gave them a parcel. 3 emails requesting info and a call back. A month later they refunded my money. They had my cash for 3 months, never delivered, poor communications, I am wondering if I want to continue doing business with them. Their customer service is beyond bad. I could have ordered it from Linsoul for the same money and had it 10 weeks ago. So would I recommend Drop.com to a friend NO Hard to say about the product as they never supplied what they sold me.

Winston_SmithHi Winston, I wrote a review on head fi about the equipment after I finally obtained one elsewhere. Please read that if you are curious about the unit. When I wrote this I had waited months and been totally ignored by Drop. I don't feel this was pointless, as my experience with their customer disservice will impact my purchase decisions with them. I like the unit, the transaction was awful. Please read my review on head fi. Thanks, Charlie

Does what it promises
Good sound without being impressed with it. It just works fine, it has a good price. Easy to recommend, but if you are looking for something "more" this is not what you should be buying.

Works well, with some annyances
The loud voice that that lets you know whenever the unit is powered on is not only redundant (you obviously just pressed the power button), but annoying, as there is no way to turn it off or its volume down. I also would have preferred that the LED display not be blue. But for what I bought it for (a combo bluetooth/wired DAC) it works well enough, and is not oversized.

This is an very useful Bluetooth unit works without any issue
This product has worked for me flawlessly never dropping connection unwantedly - ever…. It’s an amazing unit and well worth the money. The sound quality is excellent for the type of device it is on par with more expensive units…
