The picture for the 120-key Sun layout has a 2u backspace key and Escape and ~ are in the PC locations and not the Sun keyboard for Unix locations.

Yes, though to be fair, this was also true for some variants of the Sun Type 5 and 6. This more ANSI-like layout is a little more familiar for more people. Going full Unix here would have been challenging for a few reasons.

Yes, there were both flavors. I remember Back In the Day (tm) typing on type 4 and type 5 keyboards, the latter in both Unix and PC / ANSI layout. Moving between them always felt a little off. As a heavy Emacs user, the worst thing was Ctrl and CapsLock switching. Well, and Esc moving. Luckily, thanks to keyboard remapping software, I can put (most) all the keys back where they belong. ;-)
