I'm sorely disappointed at the import fee I had to pay living in Canada. Regarding the player itself it can make my ostry Kc06a sound expansive and more dynamic in terms of realism. The output B definitely provides a definite intimate vocal presentation. somehow it diminishes the soundstage of my dunu dn2k - so you've been warned.

a.1.trick.ponyThat's the price for living in Canada isn't it. It's not Massdrops fault, it's your Government. My Nephew lives in Canada, and he gets screwed bringing in stuff from the US. You know it happens, no point in Complaining, it gets you nowhere! I get charged GST and Duty on all items (including shipping), over $400. That will be gone soon, the $400 limit will be knocked down to Zero, and I will be in the same boat as you. And there is nothing either of us can do.... just Greedy Governments. So you are saying this unit is not an improvement over my Phillips Go-Gear mp3player?

TasselhoffI'm not sure you understand the nature of my post - I simply meant to share my experience ("buyer beware"). How people interpret is based on their ability, so that's out of my hands.
Canadian, as I am, I no qualms whatsoever with my beloved American neighbours. Anyhow, I'm more interested in people than actual government beliefs or stereotypes.
I have the Dunu titan , dn-2000, and an ostry Kc06a - regarding soundstage and dynamics, the ihifi 770 does so much more with the cheapest of the bunch (kc06a), whereas with the dunu iems I get the total reverse effect. Buyer beware. I believe such information could be a great use to any potential (and more informed) consumer.
