I've the last gen model (tsr-7790bl) that is the same except no Atmos/DTS:x but everything else seems the same. It's been really great, especially with pre-outs at this price. That's the primary reason I bought it as the power is the only weakness on most of these receiver's. I connect my pre-out L/R channels to an outboard amp and power my center from the receiver. The app and web control is convenient, also the remote with the scene buttons (e.g one touch music button that you can set to Pandora or radio to auto play). Sound quality is good. 4:4:4 60fps 4k passthrough only works on HDMI 2, the non-arc HDMI output. 4:4:4 needs to be setup in the internal (special) setup (not the main menus) along with 6 ohm speakermode if needed.

elauAlso, this model (7810) actually can pass through Dolby Vision but 7790 cannot.

elauWhere is the special setup located? I'm having trouble getting 4K 60Hz HDR to pass through this receiver. I've done the firmware update and I'm using the HDMI 2 out as you said. I can't get HDR or 4:4:4 to run

PookhaWhile on standby mode, hold the "straight" button on the receiver while you click power on. This should take you to the special setup. The program scrollers cycle through options while the straight button toggles if I recall. Set the video mode to "1". Try that and see.

elauya that was no dice for me. I did some more research and found that it may be an Apple TV 4k Specific issue as that is my source. Some have said that I need 48Gbps HDMI cables instead of the High Speed 18 Gbps. It seems Belkin is the only company making these cables and they are labeled as "Ultra High Speed" with a throughput of 48Gbps. I went ahead and got two of these and we will see.
