It appears that the Yubikey Neo (and new Neo-N) are now being sold compatible with FIDO U2F protocol. Thus, I'd like to see this drop return - all those who were waiting for a Yubikey Neo, now is the time! Those made prior to Oct 1, 2014 are NOT upgradable nor support U2F, so we need to makeit quite clear that we only want FIDO U2F compliant Neos for the new drop.
Hopefully these can be provided at a considerable discount through the drop. They're really a fantastic, usable, Free and Open Source security token and with the latest Snowden reveals (namely, that the NSA and friends has been weakening local and foreign encryption / security standards and programs) we need all the help we can get.
Edit: and for password management, I suggest KeePass ( http://www.keypass.info ) or PasswordSafe ( http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ ) Personally, I don't trust anything that isn't Free and Open Source Software as well as under my local control, when it comes to personal information security. There's always a trade off between security and convenience and while few people likely really need the "offline only system with a 1 time pad" level solution, we've given far too much trust to the "cloud" in my opinion, and anyone who has been paying even the least amount of attention should know that's a bad idea. There are compromises that show a user takes their privacy seriously and gives it a considerable boost without requiring too much to be given up in turn.
Lets hope we can get this drop arranged...or do we need a new vote for this "version"?
