Wait, so I finally read the details, and these are the ones with the J-cord instead of Y-cord? That might be a deal breaker. I've have a pair from Amazon for years (along with a PK2 I ordered from here), and they have the Y-cord. I've never experienced any issues. I try to take good care of them, but I by no means "baby" them, and the cord seems no less worse for the wear.

This is from Massdrop's own description.
"The PK3 also comes with a slightly less durable J cable instead of the PK1 and PK2’s Y cable, but it has little effect on the audio."
The one I got from Amazon is the Y-cord, so this may indeed be some old stock.
