I've been interested in the P18 as well. <br />I wonder how it compares to a Furman.

JohnJohnI've got several different Furman power conditioners. I haven't compared them by ear, but simply looking at construction I'd have more faith in the P18 for noise rejection and surge protection. The Furmans, like many others, use smaller ferrite cores right before the outlet on the back of each outlet, where the P18 uses a single very large ferrite core. I feel altogether that the components used in the P18 are far superior to what is used in the majority of power conditioners I've owned, including "pro grade" stuff like Furman, Backstage, Surge-X, and Mid Atlantic. It might even be better than my Tripp-Lite stuff, but I have yet to take them apart to have a gander.<br /><br />I personally don't own the P18 yet, but it's at the top of my list for next in line.
