I decided to get Yumis after seeing much debate comparing these to the Audio Engine A2/A2+. Because of the similar Kevlar / Silk speaker design, I thought these two brands of speakers were nearly identical except the Yumis had bluetooth and a remote. I was wrong.
The Yumis are much larger than my A2s. The A2s are 4x6" and 6" deep. The Yumis are 7x11" and 8" deep. This makes the Yumis bookshelf speakers but most definitely not desk speakers, as is I how I intended to use them. That being said, the Yumis are more powerful, sound better, and have the innate ability to create a sound stage. They do have a very annoying set of LED lights, can only be controlled by a cheap, little remote ........ but, they sound great.
Some things to consider the next time the Yumi or maybe Yumi+ (fingers crossed) speakers come up for group buy again. Thanks for the great deal Massdrop!

jmbd7h3So you have both the A2 and Yumis and prefer the Yumis to the A2? I have the A2's myself and I've been looking at the Kanto products, the SYD6 and SUB8. I have my A2's hooked up to a peachtree decco65 and they sound AMAZING. I was considering getting another pair, the A2+ but maybe I should look at the Kanto products.
