I'm considering these as an option for my TV, but it does not have analog line out. Does anybody know if these speakers work using optical out from a television? It is a Panasonic VIERA and doesn't have any options in the menu as far as the optical out goes, but I try to set my components to just use Dolby Surround 2.0 whenever possible.

fetusIt can depend on the TV, but in most cases televisions will only return stereo through their Toslink connectors. TV's themselves usually only have 2 speakers (Left & Right channel) that they use, so filtering your audio connectors through your television should already convert for you, unless the audio source is directly from the television itself (i.e. TV tuner). For most setups though, you will be getting your audio source from your cable box, Bluray, or other device, so passing them through your TV to the speakers won't be a problem at all. Hope this helps :-)
