Equipped with RealSense, the Yuneec Typhoon H 4K builds a 3D model of the world as it flies, enabling it to better avoid obstacles and create intelligent routes. This Intel-developed technology even remembers its environment—if it avoids an obstacle once, it’ll avoid it in the future. And it works in tandem with the 360-degree CGO3+ gimbal camera, pushing the capabilities of Watch Me and Follow Me modes so that the drone avoids obstacles while filming in any direction.
Note: This drop includes the Typhoon H 4K Drone, ST16 Ground Station transmitter with built-in 3.7V 8700 mAh battery, (2) 14.8v/4S 5400mAh LiPo batteries, and Typhoon H Backpack. At checkout, you will have the option to purchase extra 3CW and 3CCW propellers (+ $35), an extra 5400 mAh Li-Po battery (+ $110), and/or the SkyView headset (+ $220). Drop is limited to 11 units.
The Typhoon captures 4K video at 30 frames per second and 1080p slow-motion video at 120 frames per second. To ensure stable video, the drone is outfitted with a precision-crafted three-axis gimbal with a full 360-degree range of motion for any shot at any angle. A dedicated button on the controller allows you to take 12-megapixel photos with ease, while the zero-distortion-lens prevents the curved look of video playback found on other drone cameras. It also flies for up to 25 minutes at a time and boasts a top speed of 22 miles per hour.
With the Typhoon, capturing professional footage is easier than ever. Follow Me mode automatically detects your location and tracks your movement—as the first drone to incorporate elevation changes, it offers steady footage as it goes up and down in altitude. Orbit Me mode creates a circular path around you for easy 360-degree footage. Curve Cable Cam Mode allows users to plug in an invisible route for the Typhoon H to follow. With Journey Mode, you can send the drone out up to 150 feet from its location. And when you’re done shooting, use Return Home Mode to send the drone back to base at the touch of a button.
The ST16 Ground Station features a 7-inch LCD Touch display that provides a 720p live feed of the Typhoon’s video capture. It also keeps track of real-time telemetry data, flight modes, altitude, speed, distance from home, GPS positioning, and more. If that’s not enough, you can also manually control your video resolution, white balance, and light exposure for different scenarios and lighting conditions.
An enclosed FPV headset with a 5-inch screen, the SkyView allows you to view the action from the drone’s perspective as it flies. It’s just like being aboard the drone! It’s not only ergonomic but durable, and it’s fitted with a headband to accommodate all head shapes and sizes. Even those who wear glasses will have no problem enjoying the SkyView headset. It even includes an HDMI input, allowing you to watch movies, play games, and more.
