Even when they’re not in use, your mechanical keyboards deserve to be seen. Put your favorites on display in the Z18: a Drop-exclusive stand from Z Mech, now in two sizes to fit boards large and small Read More
Mostly for this "I'll probably end up picking this up" - protest to this price, protest! It isn't worth it. Even 44 usd is pricey. 30 usd should be max. I think that plate thing should be skipped and designed to be cheaper and more invisible (so also because of this too "Wow an actually sophisticated") because it feels like the stand what is showcased, not keyboard
Overkill. I use 3D-printed stands in PLA plastic (100% infill) that are more than strong enough to hold even my 5-pound keyboards. The acrylic on these is too thick and the hardware is an eyesore. The stand should be invisible so the keyboard is the only thing that draws the eye.
Hi everyone, welcome to the 2nd run of the Z18/Z18+ stands!
After the first run, I have listened to all the comments for improvements and put in a lot of effort for a better standard of this product. I here by introduce some key changes below:
1. First is the 10% discount ($44 to $40)
2. Acrylic part has surface finish and is now more transparent on the edge (image)
3. Stainless steel rods are now shinier and have better finished threads (image)
4. Damping foams are now pre-cut (image)
Hope you like it and thank you for all your supports
Z-Mechcool too see you didn't quit and made improvements because i've been looking for a stand for my ibm models m and f and this is exactly the type of stand i wanted
The price on this is insane when you consider that a far more complicated and intricate acrylic keyboard is being sold for less than double of this stand.
Hi Z-Mech, the idea behind this product is great. But the experience of assembling is pretty unsatisfying. The black plastic plates did not fit in so well, I had to trim them so that they could be put together. Some of the nuts were nearly impossible to screw in. I bought six of these, and in terms of the price, I was expecting to get a way better product. Now the overall quality is just disappointing.
kenableHi kenable, I'm sorry that you had that bad experience assembling the product. The nameplates might be cut a little off dimension due to machine tolerance. I would love to send you the replacement for though nameplates if you want. Please send me an email to zmech.supp@gmail.com with your number and color of the nameplate and your address, I would like to make it right. About the nuts, if it goes too hard please twist it with a wrench or a pliers and you will be able to twist it by hand next time. Thank you for your feed back and again I trully apologise for the bad experience. I will make sure that this stands will be improved to a much better quality with a lower price.
Hi everyone, I am the guy behind Z Mech.
First of all, thank you for your interest in the Z18 Keyboard Display Stand. It's my first business here in corporation with Drop so thank you very much for any support!!!
On the side note, I have tested this stand's strength with a full brass Montage keyboard which weight over 5Kg (11lbs), therefore some of you with heavy boards can totally rely on it.
Another note is about the nameplate. Originally, I wanted to also add an option that let people customize their engravings on each nameplate (like in the pictures below) but this will create too much work on the logistic between us and involves potential risk so we have decided to not include it in this drop. However, for anyone who would like to have some nameplates engraved with their desired text or design, you can dirrectly order them from me using this link: https://forms.gle/UYpS7mnaNDTDP7E79.
So that's about it, hopefully you guys will enjoy this drop and I will try to answer your questions as soon as possible. Thank you for your time!
