FYI: current switch prices on ZealPC's site:
70/$52.50 90/$67.50 110/$82.50
And Massdrop isn't shipping till late October?
This has been the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever.

H2WhoahLooks like my shipping in California is $15. If i get 90 off of zealpc with tax its 85.54. With massdrop's "free shipping" its $86.86. Hmmmmmmmm

Free shipping is only to the United States.
Even for the United States: Massdrop: 110 switches. $98.99, 2.5 month shipping. ZealPC: 110 switches. $82.50 + $15 = $97.50, 1 day shipping.

This is a joke. Same amount of switches from Zeals website costs me 2 dollars cheaper, 93$ compared to 95$ on MD. And they would be shipped immediately if your order from Zeal. Who is gonna order from MD, pay more, just to wait 3 months for the shipment to be sent? I would not mind waiting till then if MD would offer some significant savings through a groupbuy. It defeats the purpose of a groupbuy.

cavilikonprice in ZealPC is now on sale for $9 for 10 switches and I just bought from them. I was interested with this drop but this time it's kinda a defeat deal on me from MD. Plus it will be shipped in three months time while mine will be shipped this Monday.

Hi, can we get an update about the switch? I understand that shipping delays are sometimes inevitable, but lapses in communication should not be. At least let us know what is going on, and when we should expect the switches?
KemsinHi, I apologize for the delayed shipment. We were waiting on one more shipment to come in to complete packing MD's order yesterday afternoon. It will be packed and shipped out today (Tuesday) to Massdrop.

Hey Drop(formerly Massdrop), fill the customs declaration form properly!!! I got charged excessive import duty due to unclear description. Do you think people would know wtf is Tealios and Healios??! if you just put in keyboard key switches or making sure full line of text is displayed properly, then I won't be overcharged. I ganna waste so much time to appeal to the customs to get the overcharge back.

JcmotionHow much was the charge? Corporate drop probably wanted to save a penny on ink and had no problem screwing you. Try better sites like novelkeys

"Less wobble" -- Is there a quantitative metric for wobble? Keying force has been measured for switches. How about deflection angle and/or force at various keypress depths?

xtianyvesI just lubed the switch, so now it's like typing on buttery smooth keys... :D. As soon as you take apart a Cherry-styled switch it'll become slightly more wobbly, however there are switch stickers that you can get that'll reduce that.

Can you add pictures of the switch stems? I'm looking at the tactile purples, but want a more pronounced bump similar to MX Clears, not the small bump of the MX Browns.
I've got that covered too. Here's a macro of a cut off MX clear leg laid just slightly behind the Zealio stem bump. You can see it has the same curves and angles. Larger 6k*4k image: http://i.imgur.com/peu2Szz.jpg

It's hard to decide which one is better. A big plus of MX Clear is that I already had it in my keyboard. My personal view of these switches: Smoothness: Zealio 5/5 Lubed MX Clear 4.5/5 MX Clear 3.5/5
Tactility: MX Clear 5/5 Lubed MX Clear 4.5/5 Zealio 4/5
As per the pictures MX Clear slider has a bit more rough edges which contribute to the tactility. One you lube everything a bit of the tactility wears off but still slighty more tactile than Zealio.
Also the important factor which most of the people ommit is the MX Clear spring which in my opinion makes this switch. It's coils are rather separated widely making the weight to be ~60/65g to actuate and ~95/100g to bottom out and such a big spread is not to be found in any of the switches around. This gives the most "cushion" of all the switches. I tried swapping MX Clear springs into Zealios but it works better with the MX Clear slider and it's more pronounced edges.
Nontheless Zealios are great and you just need to decide what would you prefer, more tactile and less smooth or more smooth and less tactile. You can't have it all but lubed MX Clear might be a good middle ground between these two options. Zealios are still a bit smoother than lubed MX Clear so if you value smoothness above all you probably can't beat lubed Zealios which I haven't try lubing. Right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to lube and get rid of the MX Clear scrathiness and sacrifice some of the tactility for some smoothness and quieter operation.

Very pricey but Tealios will be ideal on this board to match the color.

I probably only swap out the caps on my work board as often as you, so I hear you. I do have other boards at home, and I build boards for friends and inevitably end up talking to a fellow enthusiast about them if we're at each other's houses. So I just make sure I'm as happy with my (and their) builds as possible.

The engine components comparison isn't too bad.
For a show car you want the engine bay to look nice, you will not see it when driving the car, but when it is parked at a show you open the hood to show it off. Just like at meetups, board owners typically remove one keycap to show of what switches are in the board.

It would've been nice if the overview had pointed out that these switches can't be used with the Massdrop Ctrl or Alt keyboards. :( I'm sitting in front of a naked Laser Alt and a pile of useless Zilents.

Awesome!! I'm believer now since I own ALT as well. Last questions is that Zilent V2 @ 62g weight? what switches are you on previously & how do feel compare to your current switches? Very appreciate your effort of the pics man.

lomboan58These are 67g, but in my opinion they're similar to Cherry Blacks but far more smooth. For the record, I don't like Blacks but these are by far my favorite switch I've ever used. I prefer Reds but they bottom out far too easily. I was originally going to get the Purple Zealios 67g's but I tested them in the alt and with the aluminum frame any tactile switch was far too loud for me. I will be using them in a later build of mine though. No switches better than Zeal.
