With a moniker like the Deep Diver, you’d expect this watch to be ready for great depths. Thanks to a solid stainless steel case, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a 300-meter water-resistance rating, it certainly is Read More
Found some much better dive watches with similar looks & features at half the price on Long Island Watches on sale ATM, check out Marc’s offers he has 4 or 5 similar offers all under $250.
As @Elky adeptly pointed out this is NOT a damn dive watch, it's a pilot's watch! Specifically a Zeppelin Pilot's watch.
It's shaped like a zeppelin (or blimp, depending on your viewing angle), in order to hold the appropriate amount of Helium required to reach the pilot's desired cruising altitude.
As with all oversized, Helium-filled objects, care must be taken to avoid sharp objects...
Even in the clear picture Ray F found this watch still looks badly out of shape and not too well made. For $500 usd I would expect a half handsome watch which looks balanced.
Strange but true--when I take off my glasses, ALL of my watches look like a fuzzy, out of focus "Zeno Deep Diver Tachymeter Automatic Watch"--or at lease like the crummy pictures the shameless web person at MD posted for this drop!
Here's a better photo (you might want to remove your glasses--it's even uglier when you can see it clearly ;- )
I know, but I like to poke him with a stick from time to time, like a rabid doggie that he is. What kind of a low-life, "no-life at all" spends hours every day making nasty comments online. Pathetic.
i notice a lot of complaints about the pictures, which are embarrassing. the reason may indeed be that some of these were originally Swiss made, which says Swiss made on the dial at 6. then most apparently were just 'Swiss movmt' labeled. since the country of origin is conveniently deleted from the details, and the photos are too poor resolution to see what's written at the dial bottom, i'm guessing that's the reason. my own surmise is whoever put this up reduced the pic resolution until the country of origin could not be made out...but i don't wish to indict anyone on my snarky suspicions.
I know how tachymeter works, I was sarcastic as the creators of this watch clearly didn't know what they wanted to build. Result: this piece is ugly as hell.
ElkyThere are plenty of divers that don't feature diving bezels with elapsed time markings, I have no idea what these people are thinking trying to reinvent the wheel.
