Unless the chronograph is engaged, the Axiom by Zepter Timepieces is just like a normal three-hand watch with a date display at 6 o’clock. But hit the crown at 3 o’clock to engage the chronograph, and all three hands will return to 12 o’clock while the date window resets to zero. Tap the pusher at 2 o’clock to start the chronograph, and the seconds hand will begin ticking (followed, of course, by the minute and hour hands). Tap the pusher at 2 o’clock to stop the chronograph, and the date discs will spin to display hundredth seconds. To reset the chronograph, tap the pusher at 4 o’clock. And to revert to the time and date, tap the crown at 3 o’clock. For a visual explanation of this one-of-a-kind timepiece, watch the video below.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of two case styles: Plain Stainless Steel or PVD Black Stainless Steel.
Fitted with a sapphire crystal, the watch offers excellent protection against scratches. The dial is appointed with lumed block markers at most hour positions, while lumed Arabic numerals adorn the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions. The hour and minute hands are also luminous, while the seconds hand is tipped in red. The rehaut, or inner chapter ring, displays the minute markers in increments of five. And for even greater functionality, the bezel features a tachymeter scale that aids in measuring speed and distance against time.
