Zhen 3-Layer VG-10 Forged Kitchen Knives
Hardened Japanese Steel in 9 Styles
Made from three layers of forged steel, these kitchen knives are tough as nails. The core is made from VG-10: a high-carbon content steel from Japan. It’s hardened to over 60 on the Rockwell scale for good edge retention after repeated cutting. For added strength, the knives feature a full-tang construction, meaning you can apply as much force as you need from the spine and the blade will not fail. The handles run the gamut—from TPR (a thermoplastic rubber) to oak wood to micarta. They’re all crafted for a non-slip grip, no matter the conditions. The base price is for the 8-inch chef knife micarta or the 6.5-inch cleaver TPR, but you can upgrade (or downgrade) to eight other options.
