Still no Slim butane inserts being made other than the very hard-to-find German ones?
For the life of me, I can't figure out why Zippo themselves don't manufacture butane inserts (soft flame w/flint) for both standard and slim lighters.

AFD_0I prefer the butane torch to a soft flame, but I'm with you. As a non-smoker, my fuel will just evaporate for nothing with a normal Zippo insert.

FYI: for pipe smokers: the slim cannot be fitted with a pipe lighter insert. Only the regular size.

Lol! The last time I check California was still part of the US and if I were you I wish it did. On a lighter note if California and NY decided to leave the US I guess the rest of the Country will be poorer than a 3rd World nation so in truly Canadian way I'd apologize and say I meant Canada and not California.

I'll be happy to buy one as soon as someone comes out with a butane insert for it...as a non-smoker the fluid evaporates before I have the opportunity to use it.

NeohhhhRight you are, but the only problems are they are only available in the EU and when they can be found/shipped stateside they're about $25. Not worth it, especially considering that their soft flame doesn't even ignite with a flint wheel (otherwise why use a Zippo at all?...just get a Xikar Stratosphere, which is lighter, more powerful, and more reliable in extreme conditions).
OTOH, I love my Thunderbird soft flame inserts that I put in my standard Zippos.
