I was ontop of this drop when it just started, I was actually all the way into buy. But I flicked open a review and read that the bass was poor.
Poor bass coming from people who don't like much bass punch = mega no basss
So don't be sad.
Hopefully there will be a Beyerdynamic drop soon (used and reviewed, comfy and awesome)
Many reviews say the bass is really good. Especially with the bass ports that allow bass tuning by the end user.
Don't discount the headphones off one or two reviews. I've read several and many impressions that state the bass is great on these. Not basshead levels, so if that's what you want, I would recommend checking out the Fostex thx00.
Poor bass on the ZMF x Vibro? Never has such a thing ever existed. There's a sub-bass roll off, sure, but if you want a neutral sound signature with a boosted sub-bass then you'd be better of with the ZMF Blackwood. The Vibro has plenty of (adjustable) mid-bass that doesn't overpower the mid-range.
Thanks, bass head is my taste ;D
If you do not use a powerful amp something along the lines of the Gustard H10 I could see people having less than stellar bass, but with the right amp ZMF headphones(Blackwood and Vibro have not tried the Omni) have a great Planar bass smooth, deep with great detail.
They have great bass alright, these are planars, and it can be tuned too to your liking.
How do you think an Audio-GD NFB-11 will do? I know the regular T50rp's are 50ohm and can handle 3000mw, but the NFB-11 can only do 1800mw at 50ohms. I'm just wondering if I should grab an H10 just so I don't ever have to worry.
1.8w is plenty of power for almost any headphone. No need to worry about that. If you were looking to upgrade, I'd take a look at Audio GD higher end stuff, pretty impressive.
Yeah - anything 200Mw at 50 ohm from a source will give you plenty of volume, more headroom can sound better. I actually heard a LG V10 the other day drive the Omni well at 65/75 volume which was a shock!
